Dr. Hamid Bakhteyar earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Campbell University and gained valuable experience in environmental, analytical, and pharmaceutical industries at Research Triangle Park, NC. Prior to entering pharmacy school Dr. Hamid managed Campbell University Pharmacy School’s Analytical Analysis Laboratory where he developed several methods of analysis for medications.
Dr. Hamid earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the prestigious School of Pharmacy of Campbell University in 2003. He has successfully completed specialized compounding courses by companies such as Medisca, Fagron, and PCCA. He has earned a certificate in the Science of Pharmaceutical Compounding from the University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy. In addition, Dr. Hamid is certified in Women’s Health Issues and Pain Management by the American College of Apothecaries. He is also a certified in Genetic Drug Counseling and a Certified First Line Therapy (FLT) Healthcare Provider and an experienced Age-Management Medicine Healthcare provider. Dr. Hamid loves teaching and he has conducted seminars and presented multiple times at the national level helping train pharmacists and physicians. His most recent original research on compounding medications for thyroid insufficiency has been published in IJPC Sep/Oct 2017 – Volume 21, Number 5.
Through extensive education and training, Dr. Hamid has impressive knowledge and experience in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, including training received through Dr. John R. Lee Institute and the American College of Apothecaries.
In his spare time Dr. Hamid studies Shotokan Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and is the 2009 US gold medalist in both Kumite and Kata.
